Community

Community is at the heart of everything we do at ABC Church.

God never intended us to live like hermits in isolation. Infact, shortly after he created Adam the bible tells us that God said "It is not good for man to be alone". Companionship and community is something vital to healthy living. This is reflected in the way we as a church do and build community

Cell Groups (PLUS)
Our vision is to see everyone who attends ABC connected to a small group. Our PLUS groups vary from 8-12 people in size and meet mid week in various locations around Ammanford. Plus groups help people grow deep meaningful relationships with one another and God. More

Church
Our church community that get together through services and events gives us the opportunity to encourage, and minister to one another. Our worship together helps us grow and strengthen our relationship with God, and allows the Holy Spirit to move on our lives.

Local Community
ABC is a church that is in the community for the benefit of the community. We believe strongly that any church should be visible and active within community life. It is our view that we shouldn't have to explain to anyone in the Amman Valley who ABC church is and what we do. Our actions should speak for themselves. We work closely with organisations like the Police, Communities First, Rotary, other volunteer groups and local churches to affect meaningful change in our local community.
As a church we want to see such things as Family Breakdown, Domestic Violence, Binge Drinking, Drug & Alcahol Addiction and Loneliness eradicated from our society. To some this is a dream, through the life-changing power of Christ we believe this can become reality.

County
The Amman Valley is one of three other valleys (Towy and Gwendraeth) that from our wonderful county of Carmarthenshire. Working with Carmarthenshire County Council, CAVS, our MP Adam Price, AM Rhodri Glyn Thomas, and other county-wide churches and volunteer groups, we believe we can make a difference in our county by working together.
Our county has one of the lowest crime rates in the United Kingdom. We believe that is the result of the rich spiritual heritage of our nation and the affects of the 1904 revival. It is our prayer that as the message of christianity gains momentum once more in our county that lives will be changes and crime will continue to drop.

Country
"
I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" was the great lyrics from a Cerys Matthews song. Welsh heritage is rich with preachers, hymnists, poets and singers. We believe that strong christian communities will build a Strong Christian Wales, a place where we will know the words of the songs we'll be singing at the rugby.
A nation confident in our God given talents, strenghths and abilities.

Europe & The World
As british citizens we should be proud of the rich heritage and democracy we have left around the world. The values that build the British Empire were Christian values. Down through history, God has blessed the nations that honour him (2 Chronicles 7:14), and we belive that as we again honour God in our nations, he will pour out his blessing upon us.
